Citrus Lemon Drizzle Cake

Zing up our Vanilla Cake Mix with this sweet and zesty citrus lemon drizzle cake recipe
Recipe ingredients
- 500g pack Ta-Da! Vanilla Cake Mix
- 240ml water
- Zest and juice 1 lemon
- Zest and juice 1 orange
- 135ml vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- 900ml loaf tin
- Measuring jug
- Preheated 180°C, gas mark 4
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4. Grease and line a 900ml loaf tin.
Step 2
Place the cake mix in a large bowl and stir in the lemon and orange zest. Place the juice from the orange in a jug and make up to 240ml with water.
Step 3
Stir the orange juice and the oil into the cake mix to form a smooth batter. Pour into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 50-55 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
Step 4
As soon as the cake is out of the oven, mix the sugar and juice of the lemon together, prick the cake with a skewer and drizzle over the sugar mixture. Allow to cool in the tin before removing.
