What you`ll need:
400g Ta-Da! White Bread Mix
75g Baking margarine
40g Caster sugar
240 ml Water (tepid)
35g Dark muscovado sugar
35g Chopped dates
Ta-Da! ยฝ x 370g Ta-Da! Millionaire`s Caramel (555g)
27 x Fudge pieces
How to make:
Preheat the oven to 210ยฐC or gas mark 6. Baseline 22 cm square baking tin.
Place the white bread mix, 40g margarine and caster sugar in a bowl, then stir in the water. Knead by hand or mix using a dough hook, until a smooth dough is formed. Rest for 2 minutes. Whilst the dough is resting, place the remaining margarine and muscovado sugar into a bowl, using a large spoon, beat until a smooth paste is formed.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to an approximate 35x30cm rectangle. Using a trowel palette knife, spread the muscovado paste over the dough, sprinkle over the chopped dates and roll up from the long end.
Cut into 9 equal buns and place them upright into the prepared baking tin. Cover with cling film and leave to rest until the buns double in size.
Bake for 18 โ 20 minutes, allow to cool.
In a bowl, gently warm 185g of millionaires caramel in the microwave and carefully spoon over the buns, decorate with fudge pieces, approximately 3 per bun.
Once set, separate into 9 buns to serve.
