Vanilla Sponge Cake

Our Vanilla Cake Mix makes a classic Victoria Sponge that's light and moist. A fantastic afternoon pick me up, which can be make with minimal baking knowledge and time.
Recipe ingredients
- 500g pack Ta-Da! Vanilla Cake Mix
- 135ml vegetable oil
- 240ml water
- 120g whipped cream
- 300g Ta-Da! Strawberry Fruit Filling
Equipment
- Large mixing bowl
- 2 x 8" cake tins
- Measuring jug
- Preheated 180°C, gas mark 4
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4.
Step 2
Place the vanilla cake mix into a bowl and add the water and oil.
Step 3
Using a large spoon, mix until a smooth batter is formed
Step 4
Deposit the batter into 2 greased and lined 8" round cake tins
Step 5
Bake for 22-24 minutes
Step 6
Spread the Ta-Da! Strawberry Filling onto the sponge, then spread a layer of whipped cream. Place the other sponge layer on top.
Step 7
Finish with a dusting of icing sugar if desired
