Seeded Caramelised Onion Bread

This seeded caramelised onion bread is filled with hearty seeds and delicious sweet onion. Great served hot with lots of butter, your friends and family will be queuing up.
Recipe ingredients
- 500g pack Ta-Da! Triple Seed Bread Mix
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 240ml water
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- Pinch caster sugar
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
Equipment
- 1 Large mixing bowl
- 900g loaf tin
- Measuring jug
- Preheated oven to 230°C, gas mark 8.
Step 1
Grease a 900g loaf tin.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the onion and a pinch sugar for 10-12 minutes until golden and caramelised, season and allow to cool completely.
Step 3
Place the bread mix in a large bowl and stir in the mustard and 1/3 of the onions. Mix in 240ml water. Knead in a mixer fitted with a dough hook or by hand for 5 minutes until smooth. Stir in the remaining onions evenly.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to the prepared tin, pressing into the edges. Cover with clingfilm and leave in a warm place for about 1 hour or until risen in size.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 230°C, gas mark 8.
Step 6
Bake the loaf for 25-30 minutes until golden.
