A scruptious treat for any occasion, topped with the irresistibly smooth Ta-Da! Millionaire's Caramel. Who will you share yours with?
Recipe ingredients
- 400g Ta-Da! White Bread Mix
- 75g Baking margarine
- 40g Caster sugar
- 240ml Water (tepid)
- 35g Dark muscovado sugar
- 35g Chopped dates
- Ta-Da! ½ x 370g Ta-Da! Millionaire's Caramel (555g)
- 27 x Fudge pieces
Equipment
- 1 Large mixing bowl
- Measuring jug
- 22cm Square baking tin
- Preheated oven to 180°C, gas mark 4
- Microwave
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210°C or gas mark 6. Base line 22cm square baking tin.
Step 2
Place the white bread mix, 40g margarine and caster sugar in a bowl, then stir in the water. Knead by hand or mix using a dough hook, until a smooth dough is formed. Rest for 2 minutes. Whilst the dough is resting, place the remaining margarine and muscovado sugar into a bowl, using a large spoon, beat until a smooth paste is formed.
Step 3
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to an approximate 35x30cm rectangle. Using a trowel pallet knife, spread the muscovado paste over the dough, sprinkle over the chopped dates and roll up from the long end.
Step 4
Cut into 9 equal buns and place them upright into the prepared baking tin. Cover with clingfilm and leave to rest until the buns double in size.
Step 5
Bake for 18 – 20 minutes, allow to cool.
Step 6
In a bowl, gently warm 185g of millionaires caramel in the microwave and carefully spoon over the buns, decorate with fudge pieces, approximately 3 per bun.
Step 7
Once set, separate into 9 buns to serve.
